Some property owners decide to have pre-testing done to determine the severity and extent of possible mold contamination, while others know they have a mold problem and prefer not to have pre-testing done. In most cases, if visible mold growth is present, testing is not necessary.
Mold Sampling Methods
There are no EPA or OSHA standards for levels of mold and fungi in indoor enviroments. However several generally accepted collection methods are available to to inspectors. Comparison with reference samples can be a useful approach.
